Objectives
- To initiate the development of a finite element based computational package helpful in the structural analysis and design of IPWR in a phased manner.
- This proposal accompanies the proposal for establishing a Centre for Computational Engineering and Science at IIT Bombay. The proposed Centre is envisaged to serve as a central facility for the analysis and design of nuclear and allied structures, and high-end computational engineering in general.
- Phase 1 of the project is concerned with developement of finite element software for analysis of piping network. The software also needs to have capabilities to analyze 2D and 3D truss, frame, 2D and 3D stress analysis. Further, free vibration analysis module is requied to be added.
- To develop an accompanying preliminary design qualifications check module.
